This autumn trend is hard to execute for some, probably because blanket scarves are so oversized and bulky. I thought it would be fun to explore some different styling options and to walk you through how to wrap, tie, and secure them.
1 | The Simple Wrap Around
Wear it like you would any other scarf by folding it half to make it a triangle, then wrapping it around your neck.
2 | The Backwards Kerchief
Again, fold the scarf in half to make it into a triangle, then wrap it around your shoulders with the 2 end pieces in front of you. Tie those pieces into a knot and then pull the knot loose to make it seem fuller.
3 | The Blanket Vest
Fold the scarf in half to make a triangle and wrap it around your body so that the two small ends are in front of you. Grab a belt to gather the scarf at your waist...and VOILA!
4 | The Caplet
Yet again, you need to fold the scarf in half to make it into a triangle. Then you must knot the two small end pieces together. Put your arm through the hole of the scarf and when you wrap the scarf around your back, put your other arm through the same hole. This makes it into a sort-of vest!
5 | The Infinity Cowl
Keep the scarf folded in half, and twist it until its a rope. Then knot the ends and wrap it around your neck twice.
If you don't own a blanket scarf, we have a few to choose from on our website, here and also a lot more in our store. The items used in this tutorial are listed below for you. Thanks for reading and I hope you are all more willing to try out some of these blanket scarf styles!
